Jim Sinclair
Editor Jim Sinclair came to the Castlegar News in 2011 from the Greater Victoria area and has been with Black Press since 2006. He has also worked as an editor/ reporter in Dawson Creek and Grand Forks since spending most of the 90s as a creative writer/producer for radio and TV in Northern BC. From his late teens to his mid 30s Jim worked as a professional musician.

Theresa Hodge
Theresa is a friendly and outgoing person making her job as office and circulation manager very enjoyable. After years of office administration experience she started working at the Castlegar News in August, 2010 and enjoys the multi-tasking challenges it presents. Her co-workers love her laugh and her Black Forest cakes even more.

Selina Birk
Selina has been with Black Press since 2010. She has recently returned to work after becoming a mom to her adorable daughter Payton. She works part time as our creative support person and we love having her sunny and positive personality in the office.

Gord Turner is a retired English instructor who worked many years at Selkirk College. Gord is a Rotarian and has been on City Council for six years. He is a past chair of the Kootenay Gallery and has published two books of poetry and many freelance articles.

Having grown up in the beautiful Kootenays, Katelyn is an avid outdoor enthusiast. When she is not playing soccer or running, she can be found curled up with a fantasy novel. Katelyn is excited to be working as a graphic designer for the Black Press team. 
Jennifer  Cowan Operations Manager
Jennifer Cowan
Jennifer is the new Operations Manager in the Castlegar office. With a background in retail business, and a short stint working for the Nelson Star in 2010, Jennifer comes to the table with experience, understanding and knowledge of what it takes to run a business in a small community. After taking a couple of years to travel and see the world, she returns with energy and passion to help lead the team to greater success. Having lived in Nelson most of her life, Jennifer welcomes the challenge of managing the Castlegar News, Rossland News, Arrow Lakes News and West Kootenay Advertiser and looks forward to getting to know these communities better. She is a Rotary club member, community volunteer, and spends her free time playing outside.

Christine Esovoloff
Christine is one of those vivacious, happy people that keep everyone smiling. As an advertising sales rep, she is dedicated to keeping her clients happy and in helping them achieve success in their businesses. A proud mother of two boys, she has lived in the area for 20 years. Christine loves people and feels she has landed her dream job.

After studying Graphic Design/Illustration and Marketing at Red River College Sandy started her career in Prince Albert, Sk. She moved out to the Kootenays where she continues her passion for creating really cool print and web designs. She enjoys every opportunity to do what she loves and takes great pride in what she creates.
