Work has been ongoing since September for the December 8-9 staging of a play called The Christmas Shoe Tree.

The Christmas musical for all ages will start at 6:30 p.m. both evenings at the New Life Assembly – 602 7th Street.

The effort, under the musical direction of Tammy Francis, is being done in conjunction with a project called "Soles for Souls," intended to collect shoes for disadvantaged people abroad.

Donations for gently used footwear (pairs tied together, please) will be gratefully accepted.
