BC's Best Teen Band Contest has wrapped up with Kootenay hopefuls "Roy Has Fire" of Castlegar making a strong showing but coming up just shy in votes.

The lads had cracked the top five with days winding down, but could not make the top three.

Voting was carried out right up to Feb. 18, leading up to the news that the top three winners had been announced. Congratulations to The Flying FishMongers from North Vancouver, DaniElle from Pitt Meadows and The Racket!, a rock/blues/folk outfit from Smithers.

Meanwhile, Roy Has Fire doesn't plan to miss a beat… watch and listen for them to be performing soon in a venue near you.
