The Concerts in Care program series that brings professional music performances to seniors in long-term care homes and assisted living sites is coming to the Kootenays on Sept. 29.
With over 40 individual performance dates, the concerts are organized by the Health Arts Society and sponsored through a $40,000 grant from the BC Care Providers Association.
The program offers residents, their families and staff an opportunity to enjoy stimulating, live 45-minute performances in the comfort of their care setting. The BCCPA has supported the Concerts in Care program over the years as part of its commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors in B.C.
Performances in the Kootenays include stops in Fernie, Cranbrook and Nelson.
