A pedestrian spotted on or near the Kinnaird Bridge in Castlegar on Thursday evening (Dec. 26) aroused the suspicion of passing motorists to the point where they called authorities, concerned about the man's safety.

Police, fire department and ambulance personnel were dispatched to the scene at around 9 p.m.

Details of what occurred are limited, and a police spokesperson indicated only that the situation ended with no one being hurt.
