Vulcan, Alberta - On May 12, 2014, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Vulcan RCMP Detachment officers were dispatched to an elementary school in the hamlet of Brandt near Vulcan, Alberta to investigate what appears to be a parental abduction. Officers were informed that the two sisters, Telisha and Taya MEISEL would have snuck out of school and met with their biological mother, Trina MEISEL, a 48-year-old woman who does not have legal guardianship of the children.

Telisha MEISEL is 12 years old, long blond wavy hair and wearing a turquoise green sweater, a grey striped t-shirt and blue jeans, and Taya MEISEL, six years old, also has long blond wavy hair and wearing prescription glasses. It is believed the mother and daughters would be travelling in a 2007 black Honda CRV, Alberta licence ORNRSE.

Investigators do not believe the children are in immediate danger, however, believe they have been taken either to Saskatchewan or Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

Anyone having information about this incident and or vehicle, is requested to call the Vulcan RCMP detachment at 403-485-2266 or to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers using any of the following methods:
