On behalf of the Castlegar Physician Recruitment Committee we would like to introduce Dr. Chris Lyttle.

Dr. Lyttle has relocated to Castlegar from Queensland, Australia with his wife and two children.

“We are delighted Dr. Lyttle and his family have chosen Castlegar over all the incredible places to live in B.C.” said Cheryl Gnyp, Physician Recruiter for Castlegar.

And when asked why Dr. Lyttle chose Castlegar, he stated that he wanted to practice in a friendly, rural area close to ski hills and water, and Castlegar seemed to “tick all those boxes.”

Since arriving Dr. Lyttle and his family have been taking full advantage of our incredible snowfall this winter with downhill and cross-country ski lessons, and while Dr. Lyttle’s passion is surfing, due to our incredible trail system (and our lack of 20-foot waves), we have managed to shift that passion to mountain biking.

Dr. Lyttle took his medical training at the University of Queensland, his Dermatology training at the Australian Institute of Dermatology, and his pediatric training at Westmead Children’s Hospital, as Dr. Lyttle’s other passions are pediatrics and early detection of skin cancer.

Dr. Lyttle is interested in building his practice around those two areas, and looks forward to getting to know the community better.

So as a community, please help us in welcoming Dr. Lyttle and his family to Castlegar be it in the grocery store, or on the trails.
