We are only in the first few days of spring, but the Robson Fire Department has already been called out to fight a grass fire.

RFD credits the diligent actions of neighbours for reporting the March 19 fire quickly.

When fire crews arrived on scene, the fire had already spread to multiple structures.

“The quick response of the department quickly mitigated the situation and brought the fire under control,” said RFD in a Facebook post.

RFD says this is a reminder that fires should never be left unattended.

“It’s never too early in the season to have a grass or wildfire,” says RFD. “Be diligent and safe out there.”
