Bryan Dallas McGowan (69) Bryan Dallas McGowan passed away from a heart attack on July 14, 2017 near Avola, British Columbia.

Bryan is survived by his daughter Katelyn (Rhylan) Streloff, son Clint McGowan, son Dallas (Amie) McGowan, granddaughter Olivia Streloff, granddaughter Rachel McGowan, sister-in-law Debbie Rhodenizer, brother-in-law Larry Rhodenizer, nephew Dylan Rhodenizer and pet dog Slam.

Bryan was a loving father, husband and loyal friend. He was born on January 21, 1948 to John (Jack) and Gladys McGowan in Vancouver, British Columbia. He obtained a Sciences degree from Simon Fraser University.

His passion for horses led Bryan to meet his late wife Carol McGowan (nee Rhodenizer), they were married on May 13, 1978. Shortly after the wedding, they moved to Williams Lake.

After a life-long battle with cancer, Carol passed away on September 21, 2007.

Bryan was an avid outdoorsmen, rancher and dog owner. He worked as a fencing contractor and landlord for approximately 30 years.

A celebration of life will be held from 3:00-6:00pm on Sunday September 3, 2017 at Elk's Hall in Williams Lake.

Memorials can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
