It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Kristy passed away on May 11, 2017 in her sleep at home. She was the fourth child in a busy family of 5 kids. Kristy had a happy childhood in Robson BC exploring nature and nurturing her love of animals, especially cats.
Spending her life in the Castlegar area, she was employed in various jobs over the years, however the most important role for her was being a mother to her son Alexei who was the great joy of her life. Those who spent time with Kristy were entertained by her caring, witty and intelligent personality. She enjoyed being an Auntie and spending time with all her nieces and nephews whom she cherished so much. Kristy had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need, often the elderly. She enjoyed discussing and sharing her knowledge of all things that interested her including naturopathy and gardening.
Kristy faced many challenges in life. Although a difficult time for all, there are periods filled with light and love and good memories that we will hold dear.
She is predeceased by her father, Fred, and is survived by her son Alexei Sherstobitoff , her mother Helmi, sister Karen (Byron), sister Audrey (Fred), brother Peter (Linda), sister Jennifer (Aaron), seven nieces and nephews and three great nieces and nephews, along with many relatives in Holland. We are thankful Kristy had special people in her life that provided support and friendship for her.
Kristy, we are so sad to lose you so soon. You will always be in our hearts. You are loved and will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held
at a later date.
