Mary was born in Brilliant, British Columbia, to parents John and Mary Lebedeff, and peacefully passed away in her sleep on March 1, 2017, at Talarico Place, where she has resided for the past 2 years. She was 80 years of age.

Mary was a loving and caring soul who cherished her family and friends. She found comfort and joy associating with and being in the company of others. She had artistic talent and creative abilities when it came to participating in the sing along with her friends, creating beautiful displays in her pottery classes, her skill in crocheting and knitting, and her ability for thoughtful arrangements of the plentiful flowers in her yard and garden.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Lebedeff, her brother, John Lebedeff, and her brother-in-law, Mel Siska. She is survived by her husband Bill Plotnikoff, her daughter, Debby (Terry) Griffin, and her sons George (Lydia) Plotnikoff and Lorne (Lynn) Plotnikoff, her sister, Norma Siska, and her brother Harry (Vicky) Lebedeff. Her grandsons Vince, Jed, and James. Her nieces Shaunna and Cara. Her nephews David and Steven. Her great nieces, Alexa and Addison and great nephew, Caiden.

Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Vasil and the nursing staff at Talarico Place, for their loving and caring support of Mary during her stay there, to the staff at the Castlegar Funeral Home for their compassionate services, and to Sam Tomelin, for officiating the service.

A memorial service was held for Mary at the Castlegar Funeral Chapel on March 9, with internment following at the park Memorial Cemetery.
