It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rand at this home in Calgary on March 10, 2017.
Rand is lovingly remembered by Nikki, his partner of 28 years, sisters Jane (Ed), Lorraine, Elizabeth, and Heather, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Rand was predeceased by his father Russell in August 1989 and his mother Mary October 2003.
Rand will be remembered for his gently nature, soft spoken manner and his great love of music, especially his extensive vinyl collection. Also for his love of his cats CJ and Thunder.
Rand came to Calgary in 1975 and was employed by Cominco, until it closed its Calgary operation. He was employed by The Calgary Stampede Board for 27 years, retiring in November of 2015.
A celebration of life took place Monday March 20th, 2017 in Calgary.
Donations can be made in his memory to the Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation.
