Women aged 75 and over can receive a mammogram every two years.

I received an email from the BC Provincial Patient Care Quality Offices as there was confusion over mammogram availability for women aged 75 and over.

Women aged 75 and over can receive a mammogram every two years. A doctor’s referral is recommended but not needed.

There are no criteria for eligibility.

A mammogram can be booked through the Screening Mammography Program by calling 1-800-663-9203 or by filling out a simple form at https://mammographyconsent.screeningbc.ca
