Letter: Why mess with area beaches?

For many years I have enjoyed the Crescent Valley and Shoreacres beaches along with my family.

For many years I have enjoyed the Crescent Valley and Shoreacres beaches along with my family and many locals. My daughters learned how to swim in the Shoreacres current.

Now, in all of their wisdom, the RDCK have decided this once unique and pristine beach needs change for us: Logging and paving.

What a sickening, sad and stupid thing to do. Why do politicians feel compelled to mess with a good thing? Probably because they feel the need to do things to justify their positions no matter what society wants.

Shame on the RDCK for not being able to mind their own business and leaving well enough alone. I’ll bet not one of these people has ever spent a day with their families at our beaches. Go to Crescent Valley this summer as there will be a lot less people there.
