Lightning Strike in Summerland

The Castlegar Lightning travelled to a tournament in Summerland May 7 and 8. The girls won all three round-robin games by a landslide. They beat out the West Kootenay Thunder in the semi-finals and triumphed over the Kelowna Falcons in the final game for the gold medal. The score was 11-6. Their coach is Jeremiah Benbow and assistants are Christine Lloyd and Tamara Rotach. The team will travel to Kelowna next on the May long weekend for another Pee Wee tournament.
