Castlegar Rebels crush Nelson 5-1 behind Morisseau hat-trick

The Castlegar Rebels defeated the Nelson Leafs Friday night in KIJHL play-off action at the Castlegar Community Complex. The win gives the Rebs a 1-0 lead in the first round series.

Scott Morisseau led the Rebels with a hat-trick. Daylen Pearson and Anthony Delong scored the other Rebel goals. Patrick Martens was the lone goal scorer for Nelson.

Jordan Gluck turned away 30 of 31 shots in goal for Castlegar.

Game two goes tomorrow (Saturday) night at the Complex. Games 3 and 4 of the best of seven go Monday and Tuesday in Nelson.
