Rebels take first of three

The Castlegar Rebels were winners Friday night, earning a 3-2 victory over the Heat in Chase, outshooting their hosts 37-24 in the process.

The Rebels parlayed goals by Dylan Bowerman (Darren Medeiros); Bryan Lubin (Riley Ostoforoff) and Hunter Jenerou (Braden Heinrich and Medeiros) into a pair of valuable points on the road.

Netminder Jordan Gluck was solid in nets, playing the full 60 minutes and stopping 22 of 24 shots.

Finding the target for the Heat were  Dominick Hodges (Aiden Silzer-Hooker and Taylor Jordan) and Drew Wilde (Dominick Hodges and Taylor Jordan.)

Closing out the three games in three days, the Rebels play Saturday in Kamloops and Sunday in Armstrong.
