The Alzheimer Society of B.C. will be hosting several education sessions for family caregivers over the summer.

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. has released two new resources about wandering and dementia — Wandering and dementia: A guide for caregivers and Disorientation and getting lost: A guide for people living with dementia.

These resources can help people living with dementia and their families to explore practical strategies to minimize the risk of wandering or getting lost and be prepared if an incident does occur.

Coffee and Questions — South Slocan

Tuesday, July 11, from 1:30 — 3 p.m.

Join this session to find out what others have experienced along the dementia journey. You’ll have a better understanding of dementia, some new strategies to try and knowledge about community resources.
