Multiple local tragedies have hit the Castlegar community hard in recent weeks, bringing the need for grief support into the forefront.

“At Castlegar Hospice we deal with tragedies all the time and realize the importance of providing support to make sure we have a healthy community,” says Hospice director Suzanne Lehbauer.

In order to ensure that everyone gets the support they need, no matter what their grief entails or how current it is, Hospice will be offering a special community drop-in grief support opportunity on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 1 - 6 p.m. in the Castlegar Sandman Hotel Columbia Room.

“It will be a safe space for you to come in and chat with a hospice grief support volunteer worker or get some information to help guide you through your grief journey,” says Lehbauer.

Everyone is welcome, no matter what stage their grief is or even if they just want to get information for a friend or their business.

For further information, please contact Suzanne Lehbauer at Castlegar Hospice, 250-304-1266.
