Bigger and better Castlegar Garden Fest this weekend

The Castlegar Garden and Nature Fest is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Castlegar Complex.

The Castlegar Garden and Nature Fest is happening this Saturday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Castlegar Community Complex.

A wide variety of products are available including perennials, shrubs, grasses, herbs, annuals and veggie starts. You will also find garden art such as concrete plaques and metal dragonflies from Castilian Metal.

In addition you will find information booths on local wildlife, bees, and native plants.

The Fest is excited to be welcoming some new faces this year: the Hero &the Goddess – featuring 5’ tall wooden Echinacea, owls and carved trees; Wynndel Lavender – the fragrant name says it all; Ambrosia Essentials – wild crafted and hand distilled essential oils from our forests; and Country Dawg is offering colourful mason bee houses.

Beaver Creek Greenhouses (Roger Barlow) from Fruitvale will also be on hand with their wonderful selection of alpine, rock plants, and winter hardy cactus.

Come out and enjoy what our open air festival has to offer — vendors offering plants and garden art, an ideal environment to sit, relax and enjoy the day.
