The Castlegar Hospice Society received a cheque on Monday from the Black Rooster from their 2nd annual mixed open tournament aka the “Divorce Open” which took place on the August long weekend.

“The Black Rooster sponsors the tournament with funds being raised for the Hospice house this year,” said Michelle Hansen, manager of the Rooster. “The Black Rooster riased $550 at the tournament and $350 from t-shirt sales all year.”

The Black Rooster would like to thank the Rossland/Trail Country Club for hosting the tournament and Halling Printing, Trail and the Fireside Inn in Castlegar for sponsoring the two “Hole in One” holes.

“We also want to give an extra clap on the back to all the fabulous businesses that donated to our door prizes,” said Hansen.
