Artist’s Bio and Statement:
Since my younger years I have always loved art and began painting when I was in high school. Up until the time I had my two children I painted only casually but enjoyed it immensely. After several years of putting my love of painting on pause, I picked up the brush again. In 2017 I began painting with Mirja Valhalla’s Art Mentoring Group. Mirja has taught me many new skills and techniques and has been an amazing mentor. After sharing my work with others, I was overwhelmed by the positive feedback and support of friends and family. I am passionate about art and enjoy learning new skills and techniques and am very excited to be part of Art Walk and to become a member of the local art community. My dream is to one day have an exhibit at the Kootenay Gallery.
