Castlegar Burger Month takes the humble burger to all new heights — way past an all beef patty and cheese slapped between a Wonder bun.
The inaugural Castlegar Burger Month starts Aug. 1 and runs until Aug. 31.
For the first time, eight local restaurants — Black Rooster, B's Eatery & Public House at Chances, Chefs Choice Authentic Street Food, Grateful Table, Maple Mirch, Millennium Concession, The Lions Head Smoke & Brew Pub and The Nineteenth — are competing in a 31-day showdown of who has the chops to make the best burger in town.
The eight specialty burgers are $17 each plus tax, and while extra purchases are not required, we encourage a side order and drink while savouring these burger masterpieces.
Each restaurant will have a voting box, or you can vote online at castlegarnews.com/contests.
Everyone who votes has a chance to win a $25 gift certificate from each restaurant.
The winning restaurant will be awarded a trophy.
Better than that, however, is the bragging rights of having the best burger in town.
