Community Living BC held its annual Employer Recognition Dinner in Castlegar on Oct. 24 as part of Community Living Month.
The event recognizes local employers who have made a positive impact on hiring individuals with diverse abilities with an evening of celebration and sharing of success stories.
Employees shared how employment has impacted their lives in many meaningful ways, from increasing self-confidence to building social connections and gaining new skills.
Contributions made by individuals with diverse abilities make our communities stronger, more inclusive and vibrant and this evening was a true reflection of an inclusive community.
