With the intent of stimulating communication on some pressing social issues, a pair of entities is teaming up in staging a mid-May event in Castlegar.
Freedom Quest Regional Youth Services, in partnership with Embrace BC, will hold a youth dialogues event called, “See Me, Meet Me, Hear Me,” on issues around hate-crime, racism and discrimination in the West Kootenay/Boundary, with the ultimate goal of awakening awareness and building a respectful inclusive community where all youth feel they have a voice.
This timely and needed event will take place on Tuesday May 15, from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. (9:30 a.m. registration) at the Selkirk College Gym.
The morning portion will feature the event's Key-note speaker and youth panel speakers.Following a provided lunch there will be a time dedicated to dialogue discussions and and art project.
