The Castlegar Farmer and Vendor's Market has had its share of bad weather. However, the last couple of weeks the market has enjoyed sunshine and decent crowds.
"It's going fairly well considering almost every day we've had it there's been rain," said organizer Deb McIntosh. "So this being a sunny day it's great for the vendors. They're troopers and they stick it out and do their time. People are coming out and liking what they see."
The market is located in the parking lot outside the Station Railway Museum in downtown Castlegar and runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. all summer long.
"We had a musician today, so we'll think about bringing in more of that kind of entertainment," she said. "The success of the market depends on people attending it. If more people come out than more vendors will come out. It'll be a win win."
