Castlegar holds vigil to help heal from recent losses

A peace and healing vigil was held at Millennium Park on Sunday night.

Gerry Rempel, Metis Elder and Castlegar fire chief, did a sage smudging ceremony to open the peace and healing vigil at Millennium Park on Sunday night.

Later Yanive Feiner performed on stage, following a number of local representatives who spoke to the recent untimely deaths in the community and the attack on the LGBTQIA2S community in Orlando.
