Members of the Castlegar Rotary Club were out delivering smiles all last Wednesday with their annual rose sale fundraiser.
For over 20 years, Rotarians have been selling roses as both a fundraiser and a means of saying thanks at Thanksgiving to co-workers, friends, and family.
Members of the club delivered the roses to businesses in the greater Castlegar area during the day, and to homes in the evening.
Rose committee chair Dave Williams reports, “In our first year we sold around 70 dozen roses, and this year we delivered about 700 dozen. As with all club fundraisers, profits go back into projects that will benefit the community.”
