Twin Rivers Elementary School has received a generous donation from the Murphy Family Foundation.

The foundation was created by Trail Smoke Eaters owners Rich and Annie Murphy and has made quite a few donations to local schools in recent years.

Twin Rivers assistant principal Mike Page says the $2000 will be used towards a special project that will enhance the school community in some way.

“They are just really, really good community people,” said Page of the foundation, impressed a Trail company would reach out to support a Castlegar school.

“We just want to say a big thank you,” added Page.

“When life gets back to normal, go support the Smoke Eaters.”
