Castlegar Shoppers helps local women in need

The Castlegar Shoppers donated $1,210 to the CDCSS Women’s Centre.

The Castlegar Shoppers Drug Mart donated $1,210 to the Castlegar & District Community Services Society’s (CDCSS) Women’s Centre on Tuesday, along with shoe boxes filled with life essentials, such as sun screen, toothbrushes, floss, soap, phone cards and bus tokens. The money donated was raised through the Diamond Dinner Ladies Gala and Shoppers Drug Mart will once again be raising funds for the CDCSS Women’s Centre in September with the Growing Women’s Health Campaign. The campaign will include weekly basket draws, a BBQ, a silent auction, grab bags and the sale of paper leaves, apples and birds, with proceeds going to the centre.
