Spring is around the corner, which usually means Castlegar residents are anticipating the annual Spring Fling celebration.

Unfortunately, the Spring Fling committee has decided to cancel the event again this year.

“It was a hard decision as we know how eager we all are to get out and enjoy spring and events that bring us all together,” said the committee in a news release. “With the restrictions in place early in the year, there was a lot of uncertainty as to whether we could host the event. With a short timeline after the easing of some restrictions it was and would be challenging to pull everything together.”

Organizers hope to host Spring Fling 2023. But the group needs more committee members and volunteers to ensure the event can go forward and be successful in future years.
