Castlegar resident Dorothy Mary McNee recently celebrated her 100th birthday.
McNee and her her late husband, William R. McNee, Sr., lived in Castlegar for 75 years. They built their own home on 10th Avenue and McNee continues to live there. Dorothy was involved with the Brownies for many years, worked supplying soup for school children, in the library, the local thrift shop and taught Sunday School. The McNees raised five children, three of whom continue to live in Castlegar.
