The winners of this year’s Merry and Bright Christmas decoration contest have brought smiles to their neighbourhoods with their outstanding displays.

The prize for the best display went to Lawrence Chernoff at 2513 6th Avenue. The runner-up was Maureen and Dennis Chernenkoff at 713 Tamarack Street.

The most creative display award went to Rauni Naud and Vita Iacullo at 790 Lynnwood Crescent. Second place went to Ashley and Calysta Aubin at 401 27th Street.

The City of Castlegar, Castlegar News, FortisBC, and Mercer Celgar partnered together to bring contest to our community this season. More than $1000 in gift cards to Castlegar businesses, restaurants and activities were given to the winners.
