The West Kootenay Fly Fishing Club received a cheque for $1,500 from Columbia Power for the upcoming Fly Fishing Symposium. The Symposium goes this Saturday and Sunday at the Castlegar Community Complex and is free to public.
The event helps promote the sport of fly fishing and brings together people from all aspects of fly fishing from beginner to expert. In addition, the symposium will promote conservation and education and showcase the fishing opportunities in our region, said organizer Rod Zavaduk.
The Symposium is free and includes a kids fly tying table.
