Pitch-in Canada week takes place April 22-29 and the City of Castlegar and the Communities in Bloom committee are asking residents to lend a hand to make the community look great.
Everyone is invited to participate by helping to do things such as cleaning up garbage from streets or riverbanks, planting flowers with Communities in Bloom or anything that would enhance the community.
Safety vests, trash grabbers and garbage bags are available at City Hall for litter pickups.
Waste Management will be donating the use of a dumpster for this event. It will be available at the Pioneer Arena from April 23-29.
