It was a lovely day and caring pet owners made the most of it along with more than 60 dogs, two cats and a guinea pig on Saturday at Total Pet in Castlegar.

Spokesperson Laurel Mathew informed on Monday that the results were “excellent,” with a grand total of $1,028 being raised toward the ongoing compassionate efforts of the Kootenay Animal Assistance Program Society.
