Students at the Kootenay Columbia Learning Centre in Castlegar enjoyed some special Christmas festivities thanks to community generosity.

Freedom Quest provided support for a student outing to find a Christmas tree for the school and enjoy some sledding. The Castlegar Women’s Quilters group provided a handmade quilt for each student. Additional support for the school’s foods program and holiday celebrations was provided by the Castlegar Treasure Shop, Castlegar Realty and Columbia Power.

School vice principal Shelly McKay said, “We have been overwhelmed by community support for our students and wanted to thank these organizations for that support.”
