The man who powered himself around the world, gaining a world of support for the cause of spinal cord research – Rick Hansen – has an appointment to do some important business in our town a month from now.The stopover relates to the 25th anniversary of the athletic fundraising event named in his honour coming through town, also - a thoughtful, meaningful gesture for the benefit of an endangered species.The dates to note are April 22 and 23.First - the Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary relay hits rolls in on the Sunday, a day ahead of Rick himself who is slated to be part of an annual release of juvenile White Sturgeon on Monday, April 23.More details to be released as the date draws closer.
