The City of Castlegar has opened the Millennium Park natural ponds and the Kinsmen Splash Park for the season.

The natural ponds include a beach and three swimming areas on the Columbia River. The top pond is designed for use by youngsters and their families, the middle pond is designed for teenagers and adults, and the bottom pond has a small water slide. Each pond is surrounded by a nice sandy beach.

Millennium Park also includes a concession, sports fields, outdoor workout area, dog park, bike park, camas conservation area, and beach volleyball, pickleball, and tennis courts.

Kinsmen Park is a great park to cool off during hot days with a large water spray park. Kinsmen Park also has a children’s play area with slides, swings, and a jungle gym, open green space, picnic tables, and bathroom facilities.

To keep our community safe, the city asks visitors to please follow all COVID-19 provincial health orders and guidelines when visiting these public spaces.
