Food and community spirit were plentiful at Millennium Park Saturday as about 300 people gathered to share a Thanksgiving meal.

Volunteers cooked turkeys, hams, vegetables, stuffing, desserts and 200 pounds of potatoes. Communities in Bloom volunteers created 30 flower arrangements to decorate the tables.

The event was sponsored by the City of Castlegar.
