A Remembrance Day ceremony was held Nov. 11 at the Kinsmen Park Cenotaph in Castlegar.

Hundreds attended the event that featured two minutes of silence, speeches by local dignitaries including Castlegar’s new mayor Maria McFaddin, bag pipes, trumpet solos, the Twin Rivers Community Choir, a children’s choir and prayers.

The event was organized by the Castlegar Robson Royal Canadian Legion and supported by local RCMP, Boy Scouts and Castlegar Fire Department members.
