The Robson Community Memorial Church

In our world of crass consumerism, Christmas celebrations that bring people together in ways that build bridges and support our local community culture are a breath of fresh air. This is what you find at the Robson Community Memorial Church. Recently the church celebrated the dedication of the beautiful new addition of a kitchen and wheelchair accessible bathrooms, funded in good part by Columbia Basin Trust. Built in 1907, the community church has hosted many church services, weddings, funerals meetings, and celebrations through the years. Age and use had left the church ready for a building face-lift. It received just that with the recent renovations.

The church is open for rentals, and there has been a funeral hosted there just recently. Also, the church opened once again for church services as of December 8.  Services are now held every Saturday morning at 10 a.m., with coffee/tea and muffins being offered one half hour before services. After services there is a pot luck event at 12:30 p.m.

Over the Christmas holidays, there will be two celebrations held for community members. Saturday morning, December 22, along with the usual services, the church will also host a Christmas Cantata, open to the public. Those interested in participating are encouraged to join the warmth of the season, and a chance to participate in the singing and celebrations.

On December 23, at 7 p.m., there will also be another Christmas celebration for community members.

For those interested in getting to view the new additions to this quaint community church, please join fellow community members at these celebrations at 2953 Waldie Ave. In Robson. If you are interested in renting the church for community celebrations or meetings, please call Ken or Elaine Hood at (250) 365-6506.

In a world where increasingly community spirit is strained by our busy schedules we invite you to rejoice with others in an environment that harkens back to the strength and support of true community fellowship. Join us this season at the Robson Community Church.
