Just a quick reminder that Ms Kim Carter, the BC Ombudsperson is speaking in Nelson, Wednesday, Sept 12 at 7 p.m. in the Nelson United Church Hall and again in Castlegar on Thursday, Sept 13 at 12 noon in the Castlegar Recreation Complex.
Her topic on both occasions concerns her recently released Report and Recommendations on Seniors' Care in B.C.
Cutbacks to services for seniors has been a huge issue for several years in the West Kootenay and therefore her review of the current situation and suggestions for change are of great interest to local residents.
