Destination Castlegar would like to invite Castlegar residents to take part in a five-minute anonymous survey for a chance to win $500 towards local businesses.

Do you like to travel? What is it that you like to do when you travel to a new destination? Is this something that we have in Castlegar? This is your chance to put on your tourist goggles and imagine your hometown from a visitor’s point of view.

Destination Castlegar has partnered with third-year rural pre-medicine student Zoey Crockart from Selkirk College to facilitate this survey. During their third year of the RPM program, all students are asked to find a community partner and work together to facilitate a project that will demonstrate a positive impact in their community.

“We are very excited to launch this survey that will allow members of the community to voice their opinion about our current tourist amenities as well as what they believe Castlegar is missing to become a desirable tourism destination and high-quality place to live,” said Destination Castlegar marketing director Andrea Ryman.

Gathering this feedback from community members will allow Destination Castlegar to advocate for future development that will be appreciated by the local community while also enhancing tourism recruitment.

The survey will be open from Feb. 11 - 28. Go to destinationcastlegar.com to find the survey.
