Success for Castlegar Garden and Nature Fest

Event featured vendors, plants, education and free compost.

The Castlegar Garden and Nature Festival experienced another successful year under sunny skies at the Castlegar & District Community Complex. Vendors were on hand selling all things related to gardens and many people went home with plants ready for planting. There was also a number of educational displays on topics ranging from bears to bees.

Meanwhile, on the back side of the facility, city councillors were shoveling free compost into resident’s vehicles. The high quality compost comes from the city’s yard waste composting program.
