The Twin Rivers Community Choir is excited to serenade Castlegar and area audiences with Starlight Melodies on Dec. 6 and 7. Enjoy beautiful music that evokes the sparkle of the night sky, ring in your holiday season and lift your own voice in joyous song with your friends and neighbours.
The choir is in its 15th year and has grown to 59 registered members – a new record for the group.
“Not all of our registered choristers will be appearing at the concert – as our choir is open for those who simply wish to experience choral singing and not perform – but it has been truly wonderful to witness the bonding and community that builds throughout the season with new and returning choristers alike,” says the choir's artistic director Christina Allen.
Concert audiences will be treated to a wide variety of large ensemble works, smaller groups and get a chance to sing themselves – all in the festively decorated Brilliant Cultural Centre.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. to allow time for you to enjoy some concession and mingling time prior to the 7 p.m. showtime. Advanced ticket purchases are available, cash only, at Nordic Studio, Trowelex Rentals and Castlegar Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are also available online at https://www.twinriverschoir.com/events and at the door prior to the performances. Adult tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door and students are always $10.
