MC Evil Ebenezer, from Vancouver, was at Castle Theatre on Aug. 17 to put on a show for local audiences. Ebenezer, who was nominated for a 2005 West Coast Music Award, played songs from his album library included last year's Evil Eye.

"I sing about what's happening in my life," said Ebenezer before the show. "I sing about the experiences I've had and everything I've been through."

at 30 years-old, Ebenezer is no rookie on the music scene. He's toured extensively and produced albums and videos as a solo artist and in groups. His current tour takes him through the interior of BC including, Nelson, Castlegar, and Kelowna before heading back to Vancouver.

Ebenezer has had many influences in his career not just hip hop but also rock 'n roll and rhythm and blues.

"When I was growing up, we would listen to the Rolling Stones and Creedence Clearwater Revival," he said.
