Steve Rigby, a longtime member and volunteer with the Castlegar Friends of Parks and Trails Society, has built a picnic table using his portable sawmill and the plans of US National Parks picnic tables.
The new resting and dining amenity has been installed along the Waldie Island Trail in a shady spot where people can enjoy views of both the island and the river.
Castlegar Friends of Parks and Trails Society is grateful for Rigby's long service and generosity to the Society and our community.
