Culminating 18 hours of labour for her mom Falyn, Elivyah Dalton made her grand debut at Nelson's Kootenay Lake Hospital at 4:11 a.m. on New Year's Day.
The little girl is the first child for Randy and Falyn Dalton of Pass Creek and the first born in the Castlegar area in 2014.
Her January 1 birthday will always be a very special time for Elivyah and her family.
Falyn said the baby is "totally healthy" following the natural birth, weighed in at 7.3 pounds and measured 48 centimeters.
