Women Care Castlegar is inviting community participation and feedback for their upcoming Community Conversation on Homelessness and Housing on Wednesday, Dec. 9, beginning at 7:00 pm via Zoom.

By bringing together individuals with lived experience, social services agencies, local business community representatives, government officials, and the general public, they will look at who is impacted by housing insecurity, initiatives completed to date, planned initiatives, and recommendations for moving forward.

“Homelessness and housing are critical issues impacting our community, and it is a community responsibility to solve,” says organizer Karen Waldal.

If you are interested in contributing to the conversation and becoming part of solutions, send an email to womencarecastlegar@gmail.com to be sent the link to the Zoom meeting. If you are not available on that date but still wish to participate, you are also welcome to send questions, comments, or suggestion in advance.

Women Care Castlegar is a group of community-minded philanthropic women who come together three times per year to connect, find out about the great work being done in our local charitable sector, and raise money, awareness and volunteer support for local charitable causes.
